2011 G. Mugneret NSG Les Boudots

2011 G. Mugneret NSG Les Boudots

Bought off Martin Steinley for early consumption, do that is what is happening. Popped and poured. Lovely bouquet, fresh and enticing and very clean. Some spices too, maybe a touch of oak? Youthful vibrant palate with lots of red cherry fruit. Nice mid palate richness. Tannins are firm but fine and not rustic at all. Delicious now but will certainly be much better in 5-10 years.

Thanks Martin [cheers.gif]

You’re welcome, Brodie. I am pleased that you tried this and I appreciate the good note. I like both the producer and the vineyard. This will prompt me to take an early look at one myself.

I was flung down the Gerard Mugneret rabbit hole by a beautiful 1985 NSG. I just purchased some 11 Vosne from Martin and will try one in the fall after I can ship.
