2010 Sbragia Sauvignon Blanc TN

Just had a bottle last night…I don’t understand why this wine doesn’t get more notariety.

Killer acid balanced by gorgeous tropical and melon fruit…sees a touch of barrel, which I normally don’t love, but this is pretty spectacular.

All single estate SB for under $20 a bottle. Production on it is pretty limited, are there any other wines along these lines people like? I drink a fair amount of Fume Blanc from CA, but Sauv Blanc is so hit or miss when looking for texture, balance and mineral-driven acid.

Never tried it. Sounds nice. I’ll keep an eye out.

I am a big fan of Sbragia reds, but I’ve never quite clicked with the whites. Some are ripe and rich for me, and frankly not as good for me as some of the Beringer PRs The reds have a fair bit of oak, which some people note as a negative, but the fruit sources are fantastic and the oak typically integrates.

Sbragia Savvy Blanc is quite the deliciousness. Love the stuff.
