The government BC Liquor Store is releasing 2010 Bordeaux on Saturday. Compared to the prices that my friends south of the border see, these prices are insane!
Eg…
Angelus $688
Cheval Blanc $2,800
Cos d’ Etournel $688
l’Eglise Clinet $800
Chateau Margaux $1,800
…and so on. Even for the cheaper stuff, which I was considering purchasing before I looked into it too hard, quite a few are almost double of what you can buy them for in the US.
Where are our Wine Berserkers who live in British Columbia buying their Bordeaux? I can drive down to the US and bring it back, but then I presume that I will get hammered with duties and taxes when I try to import it.
