Deep color for a 15 year old California Pinot. The aromas are highly floral, with red fruit prominent as well; mostly red cherry with hints of plum and raspberry. The palate is very rich, almost heady (14.5% alcohol), barely secondary. This is lush and opulent, without being heavy or tiring. The finish is unusually long. The wine has excellent balanced, unfolding on the palate in multiple layers. This is an outstanding wine. Rated 92.5, drink or hold up to five years, might improve slightly.
