2009 Prudhon - St Aubin Pre cru- Cuvee les Rouges Gorges

This is not a true premier designation, but a made up name by Prudhon for a wine made from several small plots in Sur Gamay, La Combe and Vermarain.

A wine of great purity with a plum like nose, and distinct black cherry flavors.
Unusual to find a flavor profile like this outside of the Cote de Nuit.

Before prices rose, I would buy the St Aubin whites by the caseload for their great value, but here’s one that still performs above it’s price point.

Thanks for the good note, Josh. There is a lot of wine here for about $30. As you may know, the 2009 Sentier du Clos is lovely, as well. The higher altitude vineyards of St.-Aubin did well in 2009, it seems.

Disclaimer: I sell Prudhon wines.
