Can anyone shed any light or tasting notes on the 2009 Pousse d’Or wines?
With this being the first vintage Pousse d’Or has worked with their new holdings from Domaine Moine-Hudelot, I am keen to learn more about the wines.
Amoureuses, Clos de la Roche, Bonnes Mares…

I can’t shed light on tasting notes but I can tell you the vineyard work was not done by Patrick Landanger’s crew on these wines. They just took over and had no input on the fruit other than harvest times. They are making probably good wines but not the same vineyard care of the other Pousse d’Or wines. I bet the wines in years to come will be stunning.

Don, I thought they took over in 08 but didn’t sell the wines due to lack of vineyard control that year, or am I mistaken?

They actually bought them in 2007. I thought they only really had control the last part of 2009 but you are correct.
They sold 2007/2008 in bulk.
I bet it will take a few years to get this back to first class fruit however.

I’m very curious to see what comes of this as well Don, I bought a smattering of the lower end stuff (Chambolle village and Charmes and I don’t remember what else, maybe 6 bottles?) to kind of check it out without going whole hog just yet.
One other thought that is tangentially related. I tried a few of the new de Montille NSG wines from 06 and while they might not be up to the Volnays they were quite nice wines in their own right. I would like to try the Malconsorts and the Christiane at some point but tend not to chase the most sought bottlings.
