Medium crimson color, light for Zin. Classic bramble nose with red raspberries and black currants, with a little warmth and a hint of violets. The palate is rich but balanced, now more black than red fruits, a hint of tobacco, excellent texture with invigorating warmth. The finish is long and warming but not hot, this is harmonious, a Zin with plenty of guts but also well-mannered. Drink now and over the next five years. Fair value at $27. Rated 91.5.
