Dark purple/red color. Fine nose of framboise, tar, dark chocolate and minerals.
Highly structured, minerally cassis fruit entry led to a firm, dry, cherry pit aftertaste.
This is quite young and undeveloped but all things are there for a fine drink given several years.
But not even close to the 2009 Ch. des Jacques “Clos de Rochegres” version.

Robert/TTT, what have been some of your faves? Desperate times require desperate measures and I need some relatively inexpensive drinkers so as to keep my mitts off the good stuff in the cellar just a bit longer.
Drinking cru Beaujolais isnt an act of desperation its an act of enlightenment

I think Dupeuble villages is a good early drinker, then maybe Brun l’Ancien. Vissoux Traditionelle, though a Villages, really benefits from age. The $20+ crus from good producers will give you a lot more back for your buck after some years, imho.
Oh, we also liked the Jadot Villages bottling at about $10, though even it was much better the second day.
Yet another interesting '09 Bojo. There have been a number of posts in the last few days. Sounds like a great year over there…
