2008 Fahn-Dupont - Bourgogne - Chaumes des Perrieres
This plot is supposedly Meursault -Perrierres that got downgraded because some topsoil was added to the plot.
This really doesn’t taste all that different from a Perrieres. Fabulous butterscotch and honeyed nose. Complex entry and quite good if not excellent length. I think this has actually put on weight in the past year. At present the bracing acidity provides a nice complement to the concentrated flavors. I would feel no guilt drinking these up. For an under $30 ‘house wine’ - this is living large.
I believe Don Cornutt recommended this wine last year ? If so, kudos to you !
