2008 Edgewood Road Cellars Reserve Petite Sirah finally bottled

…and just in time for the planning of the 2009 grape purchase.

It took longer than planned, but we finally got the Reserve under cork. its pretty pretty good too. (for home-made).

Here is a fitting poem I have placed on the back of the bottle:
The Earth’s rich soil has nurtured the roots
The Sun’s emboldened rays have ripened the fruit
Man’s tempered hand has guided the evolution
In this bottle sits the alchemy of all things good…
If it makes you vomit, don’t blame us.

does this count as a haiku? I never could do haikus…

How exciting, Mike!! I hope I’ll get to try some at Berserkerfest 1.5…

It’s not a haiku, however, as a haiku is three lines, 5, 7, and 5 syllables, respectively.

Rich soil nurtures the roots
Man’s tempered hand guides its growth
Alchemy, or crap?

There’s your haiku
