Wonderful story!
What a great F’ing story.
My great uncle Bill and Aunt Ethel lived for decades above their pharmacy in Redbank. I remember the candy counter and the marble bar with the brass elephant fountains for soda when visiting in the sixties. I also remember his dirty jokes and foul mouth (and aunt Ethel screeching “Bill!!!” as my brothers and I howled), and his huge old black Cadillac. No La Tache memories though.
Thanks, Robert, for the entertainment, and for bringing me back to another time.
Cheers,
Warren
Great story. Enjoyed reading it. Thanks for posting.
Spot on Rubin. I looked at their wine list and was floored. It’s a list one would expect in Manhattan. Are there enough deep pockets in that area to support a list like that? Apparently so.
