I’m both glad & disappointed to read this note Don. Sounds delicious, but my usual source for Bachelet did not get an allocation of '08s, & I haven’t managed to find another source.

Excellent note, Don. Denis always seems to do something special with these vines…glad to read the '08 is exceptional, even if I never found any at a price enticing enough to get me to bite. Have you, by chance, had the '07? If so, any thoughts on how the two compare?

I’ve not had the 08 to compare it to, but the 07 is a triumph for the vintage, but sadly does not rival Don’s notes. I saw some low prices a few months back out of Europe on 07 Charmes, not sure if any US guys capitalized, but at the right price the 07 is a good buy. The 08 on the other hand…looks like it’s a buy at a bad price according to Don’s notes 
07 is riper and lower acidity. A very nice wine.
It doesn’t have the electricity of this wine.

Don - I’m afraid you’ve just cost me a pretty penny with this note…I was looking for some of the Corbeaux earlier today before spotting your post, and now it’s back to the drawing board.
