2006 Stella di Campalto “Brunello di Montalcino”

Absolutely mind-blowing&thrilling Brunello. I am remembering that a few months ago we had the 04 version (debut vintage!) and a 04 Ornellaia was blown away from the table.
But back to the 06, a dense velvety fruit of plums, black cherries, spice, underbrush and certain exotic elements of 1001 night. Full-bodied and it combines traditional with modern style in a very unique way. Last but not least, this wine is unbeliavable seductive. Ive heared the mermaids singing…

I just had the '04 and it was totally shut down…

Last september the `04 was quite open after Double-Decanting in the morning.

We’ve been importing Stella’s wines for five years now and, despite being nowhere near inexpensive, they BLOW out every time. All gone for now but we just tasted with her last week and she is on a ROLL.
