Pulled cork and left in cellar 2 hours. Was planning to take this to dinner after picking my wife up at the airport, but her flight is delayed so thought a little taste wouldn’t hurt while I’m waiting to leave home.
Medium garnet color with clear rim. Thought I picked up a bit of reduction but if it was there it blew off quickly leaving an elegant nose of red cherry and red raspberry pinot fruit. Plenty of tart red cherries on the palate. Nice mid palate and long long finish. Some nice acidity and prominent tannins right now so I probably will give the rest of the case a few more years, but should be good with dinner later tonight. Pretty nice young burg that I opened a bit early, but glad I did as I will really look forward to re-visiting in a few years.
