I’m on the hunt for some of these - anyone had the Cote Blonde, La Landonne or any others…any favorites?
I am a huge fan of Patrick Jasmin and think Rostaing may be of that same “genre”…

No idea about the 2005s, but certainly not the same “genre” as Jasmin, unless one of the 2 producers has changed his style tremendously.
Agreed.
How would you describe the stylistic difference between the two?
Hmm… I’d say Rostaing does more of what I think is a “classical” Cote-Rotie, the wines have a bit of everything but certainly a wild side and sometmes “in your face” character, can be very tannic, etc. Jasmin is more on the elegant side, often feels less tannic to me, more on the flowers side, his wines are often talked of as having a “Burgundian” quality.
Guillaume, I would agree with that. Also Jasmin uses very traditional methods in the cellar while Rostaing is much more modern. Patrick makes one wine while Rostaing makes numerous cuvees. I think Jasmin’s wines are very consistent year to year. With Rostaing I am sometimes disappointed in what he produces. I’ve also found Jasmin’s cote-rotie well priced vis a vis other cote-roties at the same level.
