Dark in the glass. Sweet and stewy on day one, lost some of the stewy qualities thereafter to reveal some dark fruits including plums and blackberries. It didnt feel alcoholic but it felt hot and dense. A bit off balance the entire time. Drank it over three days. Lots of body and fruit weight. Will last for a long time but hopefully it balances out some.
Yup yup and more yup. I have another bottle of this and I’ve been avoiding drinking it, even though it is a pretty decent wine for the price and therefore in my cellar defender category, which I need to draw on more often. Definitely better on day 2 and at 60 degrees. You can do worse.

Purplish dark red violet color; chocolate, berry and caramel nose; berry, raspberry syrup and chocolate palate, with low acidity, okay but boring; medium finish 89 pts.
Scott, the first bottle I had, about a year ago, was so so, then I had one a few months ago that gave a Saxum JBV a run for its money and now this one. I only have two left. Good for show and tell, got some friends who want to start in on wine. You are absolutely right, one could do a lot worse for the price.
Richard, you sir, are a tough scorer, I was just reading through your cajun tasting and wine bash…man…some gems in there.
is this the one being sold at Trader Joe’s? i have seen a couple Lyrique wines there including a Rhone blend (I believe the “Jazz”) for a reasonable $15+.
