2005 Clos de Vougeot (Domaine Castagnier)
Youthful, medium crimson red.
Fine nose of spice, blood and dark fruits.
Young, powerful, high toned bing cherry fruit with good acid and ripe tannins.
I had tasted this early on and the fruit was more abundant.
It has tightened up a bit (as expected with a 2005 Red Burg) and needs several more years aging.
