Talk to me people…is this a buy?
The Lazzarito and Rocche from this vintage are very good. I bought them. Have never had the Villero, though. Are you getting a great price?
Terrific wine, but very expensive. Big difference in price from their other crus, but I’m not sure the difference in quality justifies it. Let me be clear, I think this because the other wines are so damn good.
+1 on all accounts
Got a pretty good price on it…I think I am going to bite…and I am a sucker for wood boxes for some reason!!
Might as well pick up the 04 Monfortino while you’re at it…unless you already have…
You know it…

Already on the 04 Giacosa Rocche - do you like the 04 Vietti Villero? You never said…
Need some Asili Riserva…checking on that now…
So sounds like Matt is going to host all the piedmond nuts for a tasting in 2035 or so?

I see you’re doing just fine with your acquisitions.
I tasted the Villero on release, and it had some troubling oak scents…that has always been the reason I have at times been wary of his oak regime.
I assume this will be resolved in time, but I tend to be in Ken’s camp regarding the relative value of this bottling.
The Rocche is much more important to me and stands squarely in my Neb wheelhouse.
Both 00 and 04 Asili are superb!

Yes…let’s say Dec 15th 2035…go ahead and mark it down!

Just for fun…had to pick up some Sandrone magnums as well!
Nice pick-up. I’ve been jonesing to try the villero.
Even from the high slopes of Telluride, as the decadence of Telluride Ski Wine and Dine seems perfectly sublime, your case o’ Villero looks mighty fine! Nice score!
