Had these two over the week:
2003 Siduri “Amber Rose” Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley
This is a pretty big rich ripe Pinot that’s pretty sexy to drink and paired up fairly well with pork tenderloin. Cassis, mocha, red fruits, and some spice underneath. It seems a little low acid but nonetheless was pretty tasty.
2006 Broc Cellars Syrah, Drystack Vineyard, Bennett Valley
Drank this over two nights. Texturally it is very silky with a liqueurishness to it. Blackberry, pepper, with a slight herbal note to it and juicy acidity. I really enjoyed this wine and if giving points i’d say 92/100. Chris is making some tasty juice.
