In my opinion, N/naka is the best high end restsurant in town these days food wise.
Reservations are 3 months out these days and it is worth the hassle (unlike Maude).
Both wines drank well. The Roulot very fine with abalone and truffle pasta, the Pichon Baron with the Kobe beef.

2000 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (4/9/2016)
Popped and poured. Surprisingly approachable and balanced. Classic classic paulliac nose. Lots of earth, graphite, dark fruits. Palate was remarkably balanced and not at all opulent or over the top. Wonderfully balanced. A burg drinker’s Bordeaux. -
2001 Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Tessons Clos de Mon Plaisir - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault (4/9/2016)
So good I bought the rest before posting this note.
Popped and poured. Medium gold color. Aged honey notes but plenty of acidity. Initially a touch of bitter oak that resolved with time. Very round in the mouth and a long finish. I don’t see it improving but it is drinking exceptionally well now.
