2001 Chambertin" Clos de Beze" (F.Magnien)
Medium garnet red with hints of onion skin at edge.
Rich, complex nose of strawberry, spice, oil and cinnamon with a touch of herbs.
Majestic, powerful spicy primary, raspberry fruit entry led to a very long, lipsmackin’ finish of olives, chocolate and espresso. The intensity increased with airing.
A young, but nicely balanced, elegant wine even in it’s youth.
This pup will age and improve for many years. A beauty!
