Great info Brad. Helps to explain a lot of my questions and experiences and may help some of the others that have found substantial deviations in the 06`. I just need to set some aside and wait for the toasty element to appear along with the other effects of maturation. Much appreciated.
Count me in the camp that hasn’t had any disappointing 2006 Comte. It might not be my favorite vintage ever but I consider a really good one and I suspect that 10 years from now even the naysayers will be happy. I certainly hope so as it was one of few ever case purchases.
IMO, the 06 CdC is a great Champagne. The 02 Dom was also doubted by some but the reviews are very positive now.

Nearly perfect Champagne for current drinking in my book. It’s very elegant with superb depth and the ideal amount of toastyness. The 2006 Comtes Rose is equally Terrific.
I picked up a few after this thread…love to revisit them in 5+yrs…
