After a Terrebrune FAIL tonight I grabbed an older Barolo to sip on for the evening.
1995 Brezza Barolo Sarmassa - Deep ruby with a slight bricking on the edges. Complex nose right out of the bottle. Lots of roses and cherries with some tobacco and leather notes. It is juicy on the palate with a lot of up front cherry flavors. Still a nice tannic grip at the end with good acid. The finish is a little short right now but this should open nicely!
