Buzz - Thanks for posting the thread drift - it’s great to see this again! I just love the adventure of opening a Napa wine from the 60’s and 70’s. Never boring to say the least. Kenny, I hope you get to share your friend’s wine!
Yup…right. Though CarlDoumani is no longer involved w/ Stags’Leap (or wherever the danged ’ goes). Think he sold
it to Constellation or Diaego or someone like that. I think he kept the old-vine PS vnyd that made his PS so good.
And the other (Winiarski) Stag’sLeap is now owned by Ch.SteMichelle and Antinori.

Doumani and Winiarski feuded for years over the Stag’s Leap moniker, but then made up and started going after others who where newly using it.
I was just mentioning founders. Stag’s Leap Winery is now Treasury, Stags’ Leap Wine Cellars is Antinori.

Actually, Doumani of Stags’ Leap Winery feuded with Warren Wianardki of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, and vice versa…
