Magnums are now available at Vin Chicago. They’re also offering a 2001 CdP from Xavier to commemorate the birth of his first child.
presumably offering magnums for those who think a recently bottled 1972 isnt aging slowly enough already?

I did the same as you and got two bottles from Vin. Saw the latest email and decided to pass on both offers. Too much else out there that I find more interesting. Thanks for the note and will open one of my bottles later this Fall.

I saw two bottles at the Highland Park Vin today in case anyone is curious to try it.
K&L sent out an email about this today. Ships in February; pre-arrival price is $119.99. Since 1972 is my birth year I figured I’d give it a go.

Any later developments with this or the Ange (2001) bottling? Saw them both at my LWS for reasonable prices (meanwhile I think I saw someone charging $170 for the 1972?)
