1965 Banyuls? Found in closet

Going through a box of liquor in my closet and found this. No recollection of anything on this bottle. Is it dead?

At 17% ABV and a good bit of RS there’s a good shot it’s still fine. Open it with some strong cheeses or chocolate.

Banyuls can have a very long life. I bought a six pack of 1947 a few years ago and all bottles were exceptional. A great value wine.

Honestly, fairly ‘young’ relative to some of the older vintages one can find for Banyuls.

I found a 1983 Quintarelli Amarone once in mine and I STILL have no idea where it came from…
