'16 Seghesio Sonoma Zin

PnP.
Fast impressions…
Bright, juicy fruit; med-long finish.
I don’t agree with the WS 93 score, but it’s rather delicious.

Not 93 but really good for the price!

Yes, for about 20 bucks…a solid value.

I grabbed a few several weeks ago, finally popped one. It’s nice, a bit simple but definitely quaffable and well-priced. Drinking this reminds me how damn good the base Bedrock Zin is, same price but another level of quality.

As an aside, I had a 3-day old bottle of '95 Sociando, did a 1/3 that and 2/3 mix of this Zin, and wow was that tasty. Added more depth, earth and funk to this very primary, fruit-driven wine.

Love that! For some reason I never get creative and blend leftover wine. Thought about it…just haven’t done it. Maybe I’ll test my mad scientist skills this week…

$17 at Costco. Will post a note in a day or so.

:astonished: My friend did that to a bottle of Sociando once…Once
