'15 Tempier and '16 Donjon Fault?

Also, consider that there have been terrible delays in shipments over the past year. Someone posted about a container of old wines from London sitting off the coast of LA for a month or more. There were bad delays on the East Coast, too. A friend in the trade in NY said that the time from cellar door in France to NY warehouse could run 12 or 15 weeks now, versus 6-8 weeks in normal times.

Perhaps a good time to lay off buying wines for the next 1-3 years!

Opened a ‘16 Tempier tonight for dinner tomorrow. Slight prickle on the palate but minor. This wine was bought a year later and shipped a year later than the ‘15. Decanted tonight, repour in bottle over night. Will report back. I expect it to be good.

'16 Tempier tonight after long decant last night. Wine is better but still a bit prickly on the tongue. It still smells of Tempier but whatever it is you can smell it and it is distracting. It isn’t undrinkable, although my wife wouldn’t drink it. I emailed the importer on the back of the bottle to ask their thoughts. Thanks everyone for theirs.
