Just finished my second bottle. This is a very interesting wine and certainly NOT what one would think a Lodi zin might taste like. Fairly light colored for a Zin, aromas of black and brown spices that follow through on the palate. Not at all heavy on the palate and with nice length. Comes close in style to old fashioned grenache based CndP. It’ll be very interesting to try the Carlisle version and I hope to scoop some from Turley as well. I could definitely do with more zin in this style.
Tried one over 2 days, will check again mid-2015.
