12/5/26 Harpswell Maine - Charity dinner & auction with LOTS of wine

Every year on the first Saturday of December Cook’s Lobster House hosts a charity event. The auction benefits Harpswell Home Heating. There are families that have lived on this coast for generations, but many older people with limited incomes have very hard winters.

The silent auction features goods and services, and I always donate a wall of wine. Most are everyday drinkers, but this year I am upping the ante with ten assorted bottles of Chateauneuf, Hermitage and Grand Cru Burgundy, top producers and vintages, all more than 10 years old. There will be 28 lots totaling 143 bottles. Winning bids should be tax-deductible.
I always have my own table(s), with anywhere from 6 to 15 people (there can be more!). We BYOB, no corkage. The food varies from year to year but I can guarantee that there will be lobster available.

Please let me know if you might want to attend. Cook’s opens midday. I will get there about 4PM, we will eat early and should wrap up when the silent auction ends at 7:45.

Hope to see you there. I’ll bring good stuff to drink as well to bid on.

This sounds great @Dan_Kravitz! I was disappointed to have to miss it last year but I believe we’ll be in town this year.
