Reusing a wedding cake 3 times! (I would know as I was the artist with the warm water and butter knife) and serving a layer cake to the guests.
I wonder which west-coast restaurant is pulling that truffle stunt. Not that I would ever be affected by it … white truffles = far too expensive for me.

Seconded. A great read … and now I’ll never order fish on Monday ever again. And, not that I ever do, but now I’ll never even think about ordering anything with Bearnaise at a restaurant either.
I can confirm the thing of serving caffeinated coffee for decaf. I’m sensitive to caffeine and probably shouldn’t be drinking any coffee. But I’ll have a restaurant serve me caffeinated when I ordered decaf and I won’t fall asleep until 3 a.m.
