Thanks again all for the recommendations. We ended up doing:
- The Progress - alright place but I’m not seeing this as Michelin star worthy? Nothing exciting, but the duck was excellent but with poor fried rice.
- R&G was fun but I’m not getting the crab really. My wife typically only eats King so I guess she has ruined me. Loved the special beef though.
- Original Tartine is always fun for breakfast.
I always wanted to stay at the Loews and we weren’t disappointed. Talk about views! On the 40th floor they turn an outdoor deck into a bar for a few hours in the evening. Bedrock Zin by the glass and a view like that and the world seems alright.
Rented a Jeep Wrangler and popped around the city for a few hours with the top down on a beautiful day was tons of fun too.
