Interesting. Between this and the 03 Petrvs last month–very telling. I just don’t know what it’s telling.
Looks to be sold out already.
It was 2004 last month as well. Probably the same shipment. They purchased about 120 btls, from what I hear from a NJ wholesaler dumping Bordeaux.
But why would they be dumping BDX? Only Leve can answer that question.
Ah, my mistake. It was bound to happen ONCE as we approach the new year…
The prices…they will NEVER come down.
That’s still a TON of money for a bottle of wine…at least IMHO
What a great price… Too bad I missed it…
Maybe next time…
4-6 weeks? Give or take.

I am sure Matt Harris has some for sale.

Come on Bill. You’re misrepresenting what Jeff said… It’s not that prices will never come down, but rather that you’ll never be able to buy Bordeaux for less than on futures. And only in specific years. And only for specific wines. And only if you buy early. And by “buy early” what I mean is only if you are one of the minute handful of people who’ve managed to get true 1st tranche pricing on those top wines. And only if … well… you get the picture.
Has anyone secured one of the WTSO bottles of 2004 Petrus and been able to comment on condition?

I also misrepresented what Jeff’s relationship was with Wally’s and that led to my dismissal from Squires’ Bulletin Board.

Their loss is our gain.
Been thinking about this one.
For the price I could get 4 2006 Dominus and 2 Napanook.
The possibilities are endless.

Amen!!! And I highly doubt it is any better than even a single Dominus!
