Saw this news that Mike Lucia of Rootdown Wine Cellars recently purchased Cole Ranch, which is its own AVA (smallest in the US). It’s a unique site, high on the ridge separating Ukiah Valley from Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. Mike seems like a good guy and I’ve enjoyed his Rootdown wines quite a bit - I wish him success in this new venture.
