TN: 2016 AP Villaine Mercurey Montots

This is quite a serious wine, and delicious. As long as one doesn't expect DRC, it's very nice. Beautiful nose, surprising heft and complexity on the palate, and nice finish. This will be better with some time in the cellar but is nice now.

Have bought a bit of this over the years. As you note quite a big wine. Needs time.

No, but you get a glimpse of the genius of AdV with a "lowly" piece of land like Mercurey.
