2014 OVZ

Damn good day 1.....and absolutely delicious day 2. Soaring perfume with red fruits, spice, and plenty of acidity. Honestly....has anyone else found a $19 bottle that drinks better than this?? Year in/out, a delicious wine and stunning value.

The ‘14 Old Vine Zin is showing really well at this point. For $19, it’s an insane value.

The 14 & 16 OVZ are drinking good. The 15 needs time.
Cheers,

10 Papa’s All Blacks is so delicious. I’m hiding my last two bottles.

Nice Glenn!! So you feel like these could age for a long time? Sons birth year and have been hoping theyll go the distance.

Perfect. Know you're in the same boat with the 10 birthyear. Good stuff buddy.

Just starting to dip my toes into the 2014's. Opened a '14 Nervo ranch heritage wine this weekend and it was great!

Nice! Really happy to hear that Sherri, as the sole 13 Nervo I opened last year was, unfortunately, not good. Zero fruit, and just not pleasurable over 3 days. Glad to hear the 14s are better!

Hey Rich - I had the SAME experience with the 13 Nervo. The only other '14 I have had was the OVZ and I just wanted to check in on the 14's, 5 years past vintage, as that's usually when I have started enjoying my Bedrock stash. I checked CT and saw a few positive TN's, so I took a shot. To my taste, this bottle was ready to go.

Yep, that 13 Nervo was a super rare miss for sure. Really happy to hear the 14 is better!! Thanks for the note!

Opened the 2018 gewurztraminer from shipment last week. Had it with smoked pork chops, pan fried mushroom pierogies, and sauerkraut. Wonderful!

Thanks for the note!!! I just received my shipment, and was tempted to open one! Since Old Hill Ranch is a new bottling, I decided to coravin a few glasses for dinner tonight. I decanted for a few hours before, and greatly enjoyed it. Yes, it's YOUNG--but so much promise. No notes, but I cannot wait for a while to open a bottle and give it a serious look.

Can anyone please recommend a top 2015 or 2016 Bedrock to get a sense of the style? I have picked up two Once and Future to try out as well (2016 Franks Block Teldeschi and 2015 Old Vine Bedrock). A local store has bedrock 2016 Monte Rosso for 80, 2015 limerick lane for 60. Not sure which wines are most comparable to the OaF, representative of style, or will drink better today. This would be my first Bedrock. Thanks in advance
