Cayuse weekend pickup party April, 2020

#1 Post by Mark Stevens » March 9th, 2020, 7:54 pm

Cancelled due to Covid-19- sigh....

Pickup orders will be held to the next regularly-scheduled pickup event in 4/21 or shipped this spring at 50% discount.

Bummer, but understandable and proactive on their part.

I would have liked to see them offer some sort of alternate pickup option for later in the year, even if drive thru or something.

Edited to include a qualifier I intended to include.

Oh shoot, I thought COVID-19 was bad enough. Now we have another new virus?

This is truly a shame. I have attended this event for the past ten years. I feel sorry for all the other wineries, restaurants, B&B's, Uber Drivers that will lose out because of this.

Yes that is a good point to make. So much of that weekend is because of Cayuse -- without it, it will be much slower, even though at the moment it looks like some of the other wineries are going ahead with their weekend plans. I think Cayuse draws a more national crowd, which may have entered into their thinking.
