No luck sourcing for a little more ‘98 Jamet CR, so ended up with a case of ‘01 instead.

Got super low offers on Guigal's wine (I think at professionals pricing in Europe) so stocked up on their latest wines (already had 2015) and then found a website with Balthazar's Chaillot and many other well-selected domaines at good pricing.

4x 2016 Guigal Cote Rotie Brune & Blonde (29,4E)
3x 2016 Guigal Cote Rotie Chateau d'Ampuis (63E)
5x 2017 Guigal Saint Joseph Lieu-dit rouge (23,5E)

Too bad the Guigal offering doesn't come with the possibility of buying LaLala's with a similar discount.

3x 2016 Cornas Frank Balthazar Chaillot
3x 2015 Cornas Frank Balthazar Chaillot
3x 2016 Riesling Grand Cru "Eichberg" Domaine Emile Beyer
1x 2016 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Mas Saint Louis
1x 2018 Givry 1er Cru - Domaine Joblot - La Servoisine
2x 2017 Sancerre Les Monts Damnés - Matthieu Delaporte

I came so close to taking all they had left. I’m glad these found a good home.

A post-script to my 08 Rayas purchase is that I opened one last night at Benu. It’s a truly special wine and the meal was one of the best I’ve had in the United States.

Flatiron in SF had some for 399/per, which I suppose qualified as a deal these days.

2 x 2016 Sassicaia
1 x 2017 Aalto PS

I know this thread is called most recent wine purchases. But I was VERY close of buying the 007 Bollinger. It was just released here in Sweden and the line was so long it went around the corner. I was first in line because I wanted to pick up the Sassicaia and people were more hype about the Bollinger. Didn't pick it up though, felt too much like the hype was the James Bond branding.

Sh@n A, I do not get these from the winery but from a “normal” wineshop in Italy but even in shops these are now allocated. I think I paid approx 120€ for Monprivato and 85€ for Villero IIRC

Thanks. I have had many Moreau whites and I have had his reds from Chassagne-Montrachet (both villages and premier cru) but I have not tasted his Volnay. So, I am very excited about finding this. Did you have the 2014 or another year or both?

I have had the 14 and 15 clos des chenes at a seminar presented by the domaine. I enjoyed them quite a bit. Its a step up from the Chassagne's IMHO. 14 has the purity and balance, 15 shows more of the fruit.

I feel Clos des Chenes always shows power. Not thin at all, dark red fruit with precision and balance. Wine worth trying, to figure if it suits your palate.

What are Mascarello prices for "allocation"
Sh@n A, I do not get these from the winery but from a “normal” wineshop in Italy but even in shops these are now allocated. I think I paid approx 120€ for Monprivato and 85€ for Villero IIRC
Decent price!
Decent price indeed, these would go for 136 EUR and 94 EUR in Belgium (not sure if allocated).

Etienne Calsac NV Champagne Brut Rose de Craie - this wasn't poured at La Fete so I'm curious to try it since I loved everything they poured.

Etienne Calsac NV Champagne 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs L'Echappee Belle - this was one of the Champagnes I loved.
Ripe fruit isn't necessarily a flaw.
