Not the most recent purchase, per se, as it was paid for in May, but we just now received the box......from Paolo Bea.

Motivated by this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=155013&p=2843130#p2843130
As a NOOB, looking to get smarter about burgundy and what my palate appreciates. Im currently looking at buying a bunch of village wines from various producers to try to learn more about their styles.
To explore producers and to have a side by side on two different villages my last purchase is:
2015 Antonin Guyon Chambolle-Musigny Villages Les Cras
2015 Jadot Chambolle-Musigny
2015 Faiveley Chambolle-Musigny
2015 Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny
2015 Drouhin Aloxe Corton
Open to feedback/criticism/guidance!

A 6 pack of the 2016 Felsina CCR to taste side by side with the 15's. It will be enjoyable to watch the two years mature side by side.

Is this bottling worth the $30 upcharge? Offer had me curious but price didn’t seem in line?

Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
6x2016 Chasse Spleen, which was my top wine in a horizontal of value 16s last night (others were Lilian Ladouys, Meyney, Cantemerle, Le Pape and Duo de Conseillante). The Duo is very tasty and friendly, but I already bought that. Le Pape and Meyney were also very good. I was disappointed in the Cantemerle, which had more of an herbal streak than I like.

For 89 or whatever? That’s a good price these days for the regular bottling.Robert M yers wrote: ↑November 10th, 2019, 8:55 amIs this bottling worth the $30 upcharge? Offer had me curious but price didn’t seem in line?

Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase
Sorry, A better way to phrase might have been. Is this bottling significantly better/different if I already have a nice stash of 17 en Remilly. The offer had me interested but is for somewhat more than I paid for the regular. So I’m tempted, but don’t really “need” more if it’s not a lot different. I had never heard of it to be honest, but will look for it in 18’s for sure.Mich@el Ch@ng wrote: ↑November 10th, 2019, 9:00 amFor 89 or whatever? Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
I haven’t had the 17 but past bottlings were a step up, IMO.
Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
FWIW, I opened the 2017 PYCM Saint Aubin 1er “Hommage a Marguerite” last night. This is a smoking good wine, highly reminiscent of the 2014 En Remilly CNM, but not quite as reductive as that wine. Same cut, structure, and lemony goodness. So that would suggest the 2017 Nicholas et Mathis is well worth a flyer. The Hommage a Marguerite is a blend of some of his Saint Aubin 1er cru sites, but not En Remilly.

Did you ever end up drinking these? I just stumbled on a similar sale and was wondering if it was worth it. Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
Getting my Spain on:
R. Lopez de Heredia Rioja Vina Tondonia Reserva 2006: 6 @ $39.99
R. Lopez de Heredia Vina Cubillo Crianza 2010: 6 @ $26.99
Then a $100 off coupon on top of that. I didn't prorate it per bottle, but I feel like I got a decent deal.

Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
Good!!!
I've been stalking it for the past few months on Crush, wine.com, Total wine, PA FWGS, and some independent shops in Delaware. Oddly enough wine.com with a ridiculous coupon ended up being the cheapest.

PSA Total Wine raised most of their Bordeaux prices 20-25% just in time for their 4 day 20% off coupon. Glad I went on a Bordeaux buying spree the past 12 months.

An assortment of 2016 Fidelitas wine club bottlings, thinking I might pull the plug on that wine club though.
First three were with the above-mentioned Total Wine coupon, I think only the Pontet Canet had its price recently jacked up but with that coupon it ended up being less than what I saw it for at Costco a few weeks ago.
