I got a mini-vertical of Cooke, and a Monte Rosso, but missed the Old Hill.N. Justl wrote: ↑October 15th, 2019, 9:14 amSame. I missed on most of the Zins because I was too slow. Still an awesome haul of cabs, merlots, and blends though.D@vid Bu3ker wrote: ↑October 15th, 2019, 9:10 am Wow. Stuff was there when I put it in the cart, but gone before I hit purchase. Still did well, just missed a couple of things.

4.25 and I passed on a bunch of stuff. And a good friend of mine got a shade over 3, so hopefully these bottles are sound.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
Lost a few minutes as it did not seem to work on Chrome, and I went to Internet Explorer where it did worked. Lost a few items in my basket as you folks are very fast buying stuff! Seriously, like ninja fingers. I was able to snag a couple of the $95s and tried to rely on Joel's tasting notes (super helpful), but then realized i was missing out on stuff, so just checked out ~a case. It looks like I was charged shipping on every checkout, so I was charged shipping and charged multiple times, so will have to get that resolved. There is some stuff left if you go on Internet Explorer now. I will probably add a couple other bottles to try.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
Got a mixed case (no duplicates), why not? Lots of possibility and I'm OK at these prices if not all of them turn out great. I was very happy to read in the note that all had been tasted a couple of times though, gives confidence that none are truly dead.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
Same for me - mostly. Mostly 2, sometimes 3. Never more than that. Frankly I was just so blown away at the pricing that I just started clicking through everything I had on the list I made and grabbing a couple bottles. Finally got to a point where it seemed like everything I was after was in my basket (Monte Rosso and Teldeschi in particular). Figured I shouldn't get 'greedy' and should just try and check out with what I had. I think the whole thing was over in like 2 minutes but I kind of blacked out and don't remember.AlexS wrote: ↑October 15th, 2019, 9:16 amShould add the most I bought of any bottle was 2 - vast majority were singletons of the $25 variety, which only makes this all the more fun!

Nice work. I would have liked to keep it lower but I was too scared that if I went back and adjusted my quantities down on some I might lose out on others. There's a mushroom cloud in the vicinity of my wallet right now but I'm not sure I care. This is like, history.Nate Simon wrote: ↑October 15th, 2019, 9:25 am Dude.

Holy cow!
Not sure what I actually purchased, but fun selections!
It seemed that things in my cart would get sold out as I was shopping.
At the end, I just hit the 'purchase' button and we'll see what went through!

I picked up 10 bottles of all Zin., and wishlists 4 additional bottles of zin. I didn’t read the email because I wanted to get my order in before everything sold out, otherwise I would’ve made it 12 bottles to get the free shipping.
Anyone in the Boston area wants to do a tasting later this year I’m in for a couple of bottles.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
Same thing happened, so I put together (very quickly) two 6 bottle orders so as to now lose out on any in cart. Had quite a feeding frenzy feel to it.Sh@n A wrote: ↑October 15th, 2019, 9:18 am Lost a few minutes as it did not seem to work on Chrome, and I went to Internet Explorer where it did worked. Once orders confirmed, I emailed them and asked about possibly consolidating the two orders to a case order and qualify for free shipping.
Erika responded right away and said yes.
Very excited to try some of these.
A bit of a backstory that makes this order even more special:
When I got married in 2002, I was trying to think of unique groomsmen gifts. Ended up ordering 10 bottles of 1997 Ravenswood (don't remember the vineyard) and having custom labels made for the bottles that included the date of our wedding, the location, and all the names of the groomsmen.

Picked about 10 different wines. Did the payment screen and sale came up as 1 bottle. Perhaps the rest were wishlisted. Not sure but don’t have time to go through the list again so fingers crossed.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
Grabbed 1 btl each of a merlot, zin, cab and Bordeaux blend and also wishlisted an 87 SC zin. Had no clue what i was doing but figured it’d be fun to try a variety of aged wines at great prices with the best provenance.
Re: Ravenswood library offer
I went back over my purchased case, saving the tasting notes as bottle and purchase notes into Cellartracker. It's great to have these, especially given the complete lack of other useful notes on most of the wines. I had assumed I'd be buying primarily zin, but I ended up with 7 merlot, 1 cab, 1 petite sirah, 1 Bordeaux Blend, and only 2 zins.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
My first mistake was to actually read everything first. Then start filling the cart...and watching everything vanish before I hit submit. 4 bottles purchased with several wished but I am not expecting any of those to get fulfilled. Oh well....looking forward to the few I snagged.

Happy to set up an offline in NY and split a few bottles that I purchased/have others bring theirs. Would have to be an odd time around the holidays, unless we pushed to Jan/Feb.

The one I’m really intrigued to try is the ‘94 Icon. Recent vintages are a blend IIRC, but Joel says the ‘94 is all Syrah.

I picked up 2. Wanted to pick up more as I too was intrigued by the Syrah and price is really good. It was still available after everything else was sold out. Re: Ravenswood library offer
Thanks Joel. Prices were very fairAD Northup wrote: ↑October 15th, 2019, 9:04 am Order live. Happy to get what I wanted (didn't work on chrome, only safari)
I had that issue as well with Chrome and glad I discovered that but unfortunately that cost me a few minutes and missed some choice bottles.
Really like the pickup at Bedrock options for the locals...
I got quite a few of the bottles I wanted but the Monterosso's disappeared before I could order only minutes after it went live...

Same here. Plus my Dirty and Rowdy shipment showed up today, I will try not to purchase anything until Berserker day.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
I couldn’t do the holidays. Could maybe do Jan, and would happily contribute some bottles.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
Could be fun and also throw in some old ridge, turley, etc.
Re: Ravenswood library offer
You vultures didn't leave anything except a couple Merlots! Guess I'm stuck in the field when the luck was on the road.

Re: Ravenswood library offer
Picked up a mix of 14 bottles, so lucked out with free shipping. Joel's notes were very helpful and otherwise relied on what I know of solid CA years in the 90s. I lost a few minutes trying on Firefox before moving to Chrome. Very appreciative of Joel's efforts to make these wines available and reasonably priced.
And I would add that it's refreshing to purchase wines with a drinking period of right now!

Wow, just looked and you're right. Only 2 merlots left at all, everything else isn't even allowing wish list now, just says "SOLD OUT". Great sale Joel!
