Chris, only half my order showed up, wasn't sure if you were sending them through separate shipments. PM sent. Thanks!

Stephen, 3/15/19 is the word from Schenker on USA arrival. so, call it 2 weeks or so from there to get them out...WHICH...of course, has a flaw...I'm in Bordeaux 3/30 - 4/7 for E.P. Working on coordinating an alternative to me overseeing all of this while I travel. I have to play that by ear as the arrival in the US also needs the glasses to get to Chicago then to me...I've had that take 3 days...and 17...when they land I'll have more updates.
No worries, Chris, I was just wondering. I have a fruit jar or two I can use until April. so enjoy Bordeaux and worry about it when you get back.

I just wanted to say how much I love these glasses! I've been using the Cru for about a week, and find them to be much better balanced for me than the Zalto Burgundy, which were too wide and almost unbalanced for my hands. I also got the Liberte, and will be popping a bottle of champagne soon to try them out. Thank you for being so thoughtful in all the steps you've taken for these glasses. I can't wait for what's next!

Looking forward to trying these.

Container confirmed with a 3/28 landing date in port in NY
I will begin likely distributing these as early as 4/12 - 4/14

We are close to having the ZenDesk component live on the site. When that happens, pull-down menu items for things such as "broken in transit", "I want a cardboard tube", "I broke one, can I use the $10 replacement" and the like will be up. I'll post a link here to drive inbound questions to me to a better method that IM/PM/email.

Dave,
Haven't forgotten.

Shipment confirmed as a NYC 3/28 landing, Chicago on 4/2, dispatch to tell me arrival date and then we can ship.

Taken longer than I wanted. I'm sorry.

Those with inquiries (or complaints, which is fair) - we've launched ZenDesk on the site, lower right corner of the web page is a help icon. That creates a ticket we can track and reply to.

Thanks for the update, Chris.

We finally got a chance to use the Libertés on a few different wines in the last week or two, and we've really enjoyed them - they worked well with both a crémant and a Vacqueyras last weekend, so that says something for their versatility.

You don't know what you don't know. Bought a couple of Liberte on the BD offer as kind of a treat for me and my wife. One arrived broken, and I have been reluctant to use the single survivor until we have the glasses for both of us. Gave in just now to pour myself a glass of Champalou Vouvray. Kind of a WOW experience! I am truly and surprisingly impressed. We have been using Reidel as our "good enoughs" for quite a while, but the wine drinking pleasure seems to actually be enhanced by using glasses like this Grassl Liberte. Being a skeptic and cynic may have kept me from some other simple pleasures such as this. Now, what else don't I know ???

I got the glasses (1855/Cru) and love them. Exactly what I had hoped for. The only reported negative on the boards has been the slightly larger bases, though to be honest I didn't notice that at all with these two glasses. And when I measure at least the Cru vs. the Zalto Burgundy, the bases seem almost identical sizes. Maybe that's only an issue with the smaller glasses?

Hi Chris,

New to forum here. I have a pair of ggg. My friends want to get them. Do you still sell them?

We are based in Hong Kong. Please let me know if you will ship to international.

I am in london and will travel to bordeaux in a couple of days. If you have retail outlets in those locations, please let me know too.

Last question, do you have forge de laguiole corkscrew for sale? They look beautiful.

I no longer sell Gabriel stems.

We may be able to facilitate a delivery to Bordeaux for Grassl, but not Gabriel.

Just wanted to pass along a great experience.
I purchased some of the Grassl 1855 glasses. They are great.
One broke however, but Chris replaced as promised for $10 shipping. Glass came within a week of order!
Makes me wish I got some of the Cru…

I had the the same thing happen, and also wish I bought some of the Cru. So far, the Mineralite glass is my favorite.

I absolutely love the shape and feel of the 1855. They are so thin, however, and I've already had one break. I no longer put those in the dish drawer and will wash by hand. I think they are great for Bordeaux, Cab, Syrah, California Chardonnay and California Pinot.

I've had my 1855 and Cru glasses for a little over a month, and I love them! I picked up one of my Reidel Sommelier bordeaux grand cru stems yesterday, and was absolutely Blown Away by how heavy, thick, and clunky it felt in comparison!

FWIW, Chris, I use the 1885s almost nightly for a range of wines - Bordeaux, North and South Rhone, Chinon, Cab, etc. These are fantastic and very versatile stems. Love the generous bowl, with the aperture sizes just right comparatively, to allow the wine to breathe while still capturing the aromas.

Hello Chris,

I see that the liberté and mineralité both are recommended for champagne, but is the either better to a certain style of champus or does it matter which one you would use?

Broader range of bubble consumption in both age and style? go Liberté

OK, the 1855 Grassl glasses are still my favorite stems to use BUT, as much as I teased my husband about it earlier, I am now finding them super fragile and I'm trying to figure out ... Is it just me? I don't consider myself particularly Hulk-like, but I've snapped two stems in the last three months, just by hitting them lightly against something, and we've had two others just wholesale shatter with what seemed like very light accidental contact with another object. (e.g. Putting one away in the cabinet last night, bumped another glass on shelf with what seemed like a light clink and, boom, gone.)

We've broken more of these since January than I think we have broken other wine glasses in the last five years. Yes, we use them 5-6 times a week, but that still seems like a really high percentage to me. I'm fully on board with the idea that it's not the glass, it's me. But, other than just, 'Be less clumsy, lady,' any advice? Am I only one having this problem?
I tend not to break glasses (broken 1-2 in the last 5 years) so I may not be the best judge here, but I've had no problem with the Grassl glasses since they were released. I use them almost every day. I do hand wash though... I don't trust my dishwasher.

Susan,
The breakage rate on the 1855 shouldn't be that high on subsequent production runs. One of the reasons why I had the $10.00 replacement was because of the production cycles requiring a few runs to get the process down. There is no dispute some of the stems shipped have the potential for fragility - these are handmade. We feel we've worked that out as the men blowing the glasses have gotten better. It's that simple. Weights are still in line, we've begun distributing the weights around the bowls better and structural stability continues to improve. if you have issues, I'm here and stand behind the product with a 100% satisfaction policy, including a refund if you wish to send them back. Sorry if I've let any of you down, this is certainly not our intent.

We machine wash all of our glasses and the only time a Grassl broke was actually when we hand washed it and it slipped. Otherwise no issues.
