Was very tempted based on the comments here, but we have way too much Champagne (if that's possible?). I'm going to wait a few years until the 2018s come out and then try them.

Hoping I can get a companion for the one Le Parc I got on the previous offer. It sounds like a wine I don't want only one bottle of --- I'd like to pop one soon so I can have at least a bit of a guess as to when I'd want to open the second.

It'll be excellent, but it'll need time. Launois are an old school house stylistically - they haven't gone for the new wave extra brut stuff and they make proper kit worthy of ageing. I'm a fan and it's a good price - 2012 is looking very very good indeed, too. KL are big suppliers of Launois so I normally get my fix there (and they don't have this specific cuvee, interestingly, but maybe they will in time), so I didn't go in for this, but I don't think you'll go wrong here to be honest.

New website seems to be live. My account is not recognized. Tried PW recovery and no dice. Anyone have any info?
I just noticed this. Didn't recognize me either. I signed up for a new account, using same email as before. It works, but doesn't show my orders. I emailed and the basic response is "you've got a new account going forward. Can't see old orders unless we email them". This seems like a not-great system especially as my pre-arrival orders often don't show up for 18 months.

Hey Matt! If you email Terry she'll send you a list of everything you have pending under the old system. Usually gets back to me within 24 hours. Hope all is well in MN!

Terry is great, and she has been in Envoyer as long as I have been a customer, way back to the days when they were off Oso and I-5 in South OC. She works the back of the business, so all of the shipping, order fulfillment, etc. She's terrific.

Greg sent out a pre-arrival offer this morning for 2014 Marc Hébrart Champagne Premier Cru Special Club Magnums with a link to the new website for ordering. Easy as can be and I assume this is going to be the vehicle for placing orders going forward.

I'm hoping that shipping costs stay the same. Adding shipping to every purchase will add up to more than it was before I think?

If you go through the new website they do. At least the times I have done it.

Edit: Just made an order and now there was a "Hold to Consolidate With Other Orders" option that wasn't there the last time.

About the Hebrart mags, I’m kinda conflicted. I love champagne magnums, but.... don’t these wines take a while to enter their window???

Thanks

Not sure what your definition of ”take a while” is, but for my palate these start showing nicely with 3-5 years from disgorgement and will likely continue to improve for another 5+ years. In the Mag format, probably need to add 2-3 years to the ‘showing nicely’ range and another 3 -5 years added to the, ‘continue to improve’ range.

I did the same and Terry replied immediately. (I was shocked when I saw the total number of pending bottles, but I’ll console myself with the knowledge that they’re great wines and outstanding values).

i enjoyed this wine a lot. fairly generous would be my 'note' on it. interesting profile for a 2008.

i tried to order more and they were sold out. I am a big fan of the new site setup but i hope it doesnt mean i miss out on a lot of offers due to not having fast enough fingers. been a customer a while and greg has always taken care of me!

I posted something I think in this thread or another about it. It's really fantastic for the price. It has the hallmarks of the vintage (good fruit, great acidity and a nice streak of chalk/talc) and drinks well above it's price point.

I'm getting emails that reads "VIP LIST SPECIAL PRICING". Is everyone getting that or is it truly "VIP LIST"?

Either I'm a VIP or everyone. Or both.

I can assure you I am not getting any VIP pricing emails. Although I did just receive an message addressed to "Legacy Customers", which I read to indicate that they will still blast out cellar sale emails to a smaller group than their broad distribution. Seems like there are at least 3 tiers to me... (VIP/Legacy/New Customers)

My understanding is these are special offers for good customers. Not sure how much you need to spend to be considered a good customer.

Intrigued by the Hugues Godme rose offering. Wish they had some 375’s as my wife does not enjoy champagne like I do

In for more Godme Rosé. No brainer at $39.99.

How is the Veuve Clicquot 08 rose? Worth the price of admission?
