I assume the <O> designation in Cellartracker for the Riesling is the Orange wine. That is how I entered it.
Yes indeed! Funny, the TTB won't let us put ORANGE on the label. Lest the wine be made of oranges?

First time trying Paetra wines, but I feel like I can't lose given all of the Berserker love for them. I love Riesling, so excited to try these.

Love these wines.

I tried making Riesling for a few years, from one of the top RZ vineyards in Northern CA - Greenwood Ridge. I adore the grape and am smitten with its ability to make a broader array of world class styles, from more diverse sources, than any other grape variety. This was my undoing - it's the only time I've gone into a project with the conception of what I wanted my wine to taste like, rather than reacting to the fruit in front of me and letting the vintage drive the decision making. I was making wine to a style that didn't fit the fruit - I wanted Mosel Riesling. It didn't work.

That's what so impresses me about folks like Bill - his Riesling is unique. It wouldn't taste the same if any body else make it, from any grapes elsewhere in the world.

Shipping is pretty expensive for OR to CA - if we can provide you with a GSO account or pre-paid shipping label would you use that instead? (I've got a friend with an account they can use.)

Hi Adam,

Shipping and packaging is pretty hard for me to get around at these discounted prices. I appreciate that, but unfortunately I'm taking a bath on shipping overall (a case to the east-coast is easily $80-$90 including packaging. I'm really sorry that I can't go lower. I think it's still a pretty good deal.

Thanks man!

Hi Bill
Just ordered everything!
I'm in Oregon and last year I just stopped by and picked up.
I will do the same this year. I know for sure I will be in your direction in early March.
I was charged $80 for shipping, so I reckon we can just sort that out then.
Last year that just turned into more wine!! In short: do not ship to me, John Eckenrode.

Bill, If you have any more of the '14 left, I could take some off your hands. Not wanting to be greedy, but I like Riesling almost as much as Pinot Noir, and I have a heck of a lot more PN than Riesling. [thankyou.gif]

Thank you Jorge! It's really fun to pair with food. The color is gorgeous and I was fascinated with the idea of doing a high acid white in a style that would also provide a lot of tannin. Orange Riesling is sort of like Nebbiolo if it was a white variety. I hope you love it! Please let me know!

Don't know these wines at all but they sound too interesting not to try. Looking forward to them.
Thank you Greg! Please let me know what you think!

On it John! Thank you and please hit me up! I'll be around for most of March. I've got some cool stuff in barrel for you to taste!

Cheers,
Bill

Man, I just couldn't resist ordering more of the 2014. I was already splitting a case with friends but I am going to just keep all these six. I am pretty stoked from all the praise and can't wait to try.
Hi Leonard,

The wine is in a really cool spot for drinking right now, but it's got years ahead of it. Thank you!
