$199 would be about as low as anywhere ive seen I think (although I wouldnt doubt some peeps around here were able to get their hands on some for that/less)

I purchased a few bottles some weeks ago for 219 for the Cristal 08 vintage at the Alhambra Costco. Also picked up some La Grande Dame 08 (for 109, I think) at the Tustin District Costco.

Its funny you mention that, as I swore the first bottle I bought last week was $220, but when I went back this week to snag another one it was $229. I figured my memory was just off, but maybe it wasn't.

Hmm... I haven't gone in the recent days, but it may have been a holiday sale? I better get myself over to take another look soon, as I've already depleted 2 bottles! champagne.gif

That's good news about LGD - there was rumour flying around that they'd upped the price closer to 200.

Costco in DE got some nice Cru Bourgeois
Very nice
Chateau Haut-Murac 2015
$12.99

Needs to open but it was really nice.

Today they also received the Kirkland Signature Series Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 2016
I will give a report later on this.
Grabbed a bottle and will try tonight.

OK

This is Way better than the Stags Leap wine they had last year.

WAY Better!

Damn Good actually.
Please don't stop by the DE store and buy it all before I get a chance to go stock up.
This is what the guy who has the Costco Wine Blog said about the 2015.

https://costcowineblog.com/2015-kirklan ... sauvignon/

Funny.....I made the mistake of doing a pop and pour on the 2015 and didn't like.
I gave this 45 min to an hour and I have to say it's very nice.
$18.99

Do NOT buy the ‘16 Kirkland Bordeaux Superieur. Sour and bitter. Worst wine I’ve had in awhile.

So I walk into the DE Costco an hour before the Eagles game and I see a guy with two bottles of the Kirkland Oakville Cab in his hands.
I said, "that's a very nice wine."
He looked at me and said...…."have you ever heard of the site Winebeserkers?"
Then he immediately followed that up and said....."Are you Karl F?"

I chuckled and said yes I am.
Said he lurks but maybe now he'll post.
Told him to decant for an hour.

opened a bottle of this tonight. Very happily surprised by this for $13. costcowineblog says same winemaker as Caiarossa. I'll report back on how it is on day 2 but tonight I thought it was a great value buy, and a great wine to open that would be a crowdpleaser but still leave a berserker pretty happy. sour orange, cherry, dusty tannins, and earth, on the bolder side for a mostly-Sangiovese for sure though

Hi! I am that man who caused such an apparent stir yesterday at the Delaware Costco and on the discussion site. I go to that Costco on a weekly basis. I usually stop by the wine section but I rarely buy wines from there (I did buy a Garzon Tannat from there for $13.99 that was a great QPR and quite interesting).
I have been drawn to the Costco topic on this board for obvious reasons. As you are all aware, the wine selection at each Costco varies widely so for obvious reasons, I have become attracted to Karl’s posts as I know he shops at the same Delaware Costco as do I.
I was at Costco yesterday and for the first time, I decided to pick up a bottle of the Kirkland Cabernet Sauvignon-Oakville based on Karl’s recommendation. Lo and behold, a man saw what I was carrying and made a comment about the wine similar to his recent post.
Karl, I think that you were a little taken aback (no, I am not a stalker!) when I asked if you were Karl F that posts on Wine Berserkers. It is always nice to identify a face with someone’s posts.
Will let you know what I think of the wine when I try it.

It is always fun when you unexpectedly, and randomly run into a Berserker somewhere. I once met one at a winery in Long Island at the tasting bar. I overheard her saying something, I think about Italian wine varietals, and then asked her if she ever heard of Wine Berserkers. Sometimes you just know there is a connection there.

Wow Sherri

You got the Ribera del Duero as well?
I thought that was All Gone!
I still have a few bottles as I grabbed a bunch, but that was 6 to 8 (or more) months ago.
Really nice!
Please let us know what you think.
I still have a couple of the Kirkland Toscana's.
1 - 2014 and 1 - 2015
Had the 14 and liked it.
It's one I should have got more of.

You folks really need to try the Kirkland Signature Series Oakville Cab.
It needs to be decanted but is pretty damn good.
Not a wine that will compete with Mondavi's Oakville at 39 (per last bottle) or other Oakville Cab's that are much more than the 18.89 price of this one.
I had one opened last night and finished tonight and am satisfied that it is one of their best Signature Series cab's that I have had.

They all (their Cab's) seem to be a bit fruit forward but this actually has some structure and is somewhat balanced compared to the other cabs under the signature series label.
I have a couple Stags Leap left and this is much better than that IMO.

Not Costco per se, but the Western Beverages attached to the stores here in TX can get 2008 Cristal for $229.97 a bottle of you buy six.
It's not easy being drunk all the time. Everyone would be doing it if it were easy.

I think mine may still have some Ribera del Duero as well. I'll have to look. literally here as i type. i've also heard that some stores are getting Mondavi Oakville Mags for ~$50?

They come to life pretty quick. An hour or so and we get some great leather and spice tones.

Greetings all, my first "proper" post here after a brief intro on the newbie thread.

I popped into my local Costco in Memphis. Discovered 2015 Senejac at $16.29 a bottle. Went for half a case but am now wondering whether I should have gone all in!

Also picked up a couple of Chateau Haut-Brisson 2015 at $23.99.

Welcome to the Board!......

Is your comment on the 2015 Senejac from you personally tasting the wine? It would be great to find a decent 2015 Bordeaux that I can drink now on a Tuesday night......
