Finger Lakes- Geneva area

I know there are several other threads on the area but figured I would start a new one since I have a fairly specific timeline/area I need to stay in. We are heading up this Friday (5/3) and will probably arrive in the Finger Lakes area around 1PM, so we’ll be looking to check out a few wineries, check in to our hotel in Geneva (doesn’t have to be in that order) and have dinner somewhere fairly local. Saturday we have the day free but will be attending a wedding in the early evening so again need to be fairly local by late afternoon.

Basically I’m looking for rec’s on what we should make a point of getting to, or enjoyable wineries that won’t take us too far off the beaten path. Since we don’t know the area and its tough to gauge how long it takes to get from spot to spot and I have no idea how long tastings generally last in this part of the world, any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My recommendations for Friday:

Wineries:
Start here - Ravines - the entrance is off of Pre-Emption Road - not Barracks (http://ravineswine.com/welcome/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53&Itemid=60 When leaving Ravines - turn left on Pre-Emption (Co Rd 6) and turn left on Armstrong Road. This will bring you to Route 14. Turn right going South and Fox Run will be on the right.
Fox Run - South of Geneva on Route 14
RedTail Ridge - Near Fox Run south of Geneva on Route 14 _ it’s not a member of the Seneca Wine Trail so it’s not on the wine trail maps. try the 2010 Teroldego if you can - if you want to take a chance and like reds - this will surprise you.http://redtailridgewinery.com/
Anthony Road - further south on Route 14

Dinner - Ports Cafe - South of Geneva on Route 14 - best to make reservations http://www.%20portscafe.com

Belhurst is another option for dinner. There are many decent bars in downtown Geneva if you want wings, sandwiches, etc. Eddie OBriens, Halseys, etc.

Saturday I would just head south on route 14 again. There are plenty of wineries further down and you can time your visits accordingly. The East side of the lake has many more wineries, but the travel time is further. Not knowing your tastes I tried to limit to the better, IMHO, wineries.

PM me with any questions.
