Long Island wineries and food tips

I will be heading to Long Island in early August. I have already booked Shinn Estates Bed and Breakfast for our stay.
Any tips, ideas etc. for wine and food?? Thanks!

Cheers!

Oh, Long Island. I didn’t know where Lon Island was. Still can’t help you though. Try the Finger lakes. [wink.gif]

OK, seriously, contact Charles Massoud at Paumanok. That’s one of the best wineries in that area. Don’t know if he’s come over here yet, but he has posted you know where. Nice people.

Cute!!! I fixed it… [help.gif] We are already set with Paumonok; it is the only thing actually planned…

I have to make as many useless posts as I can. I picked the first day in the contest! [oops.gif]

Shinn. No contest. Far and away the best. David Page is great as is Barbara Shinn. Serious wines.

Lyle; Thank you for the article… We are actually staying at the Shinn Inn on the estate so I know we are off to a good start. [winner.gif]
