We once had a very long wait in Capetown and left our bags with a security company. Went down to the waterfront and walked around. Had a wonderful 2 hour lunch.

Hmmmm. Joburg is tough. There is the Gautrain, which will get you to Rosebank, which is a mall with lots of stores – it is both indoor and outdoor mall. There are some good restaurants in Joburg, though I have not been there in a while so I am a bit out of date. Are you looking for a nice meal? Or just a place to walk around? Is your layover incoming or outgoing? If incoming, you might be a bit tired…

Thanks for the response. I talked to my outfitter and turns out my hunt will end within a reasonable distance of Joberg and he will deliver me to the airport. Flights to Africa are not easy now. The Atlanta to Cape town flight isn’t available until June 1.
