Visiting Santa Barbara county for the first time, recs?

After reading Antonio Galloni’s recent article (Vinous | Explore All Things Wine) about how underrated he thought Santa Barbara County wines were, I’m looking to plan a trip in the next few weeks to go visit!

Any recommendations on wineries that I can’t miss out on? Heard good things about Grassini and Brave & Maiden

Loring and Spear.

Anthony,

Do a quick search on SB on the site…there was a recent thread about recs.

See if this helps…

Make sure you go to the Funk Zone. It’s an awesome area where you can walk from wine tastings to breweries, etc. great way to spend the day. Santa Barbara is great.

I’d hit up Samsara. Winemaker Matt Brady formerly of Jaffurs is a great guy and doing great things there. They are just up the road in Goleta. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t suggest catching a concert at SB Bowl if there’s anything remotely interesting. It’s one of the great concert venues in the country

never mind, looks to be closed for season

If you hit SB, take a day trip to my town Ojai and check out Ojai Vineyard. The Ojai Pub also has multiple Russian River Brewery beers on tap.
