Hi all, I’ll be in Champagne this fall and have perused the list of available grower champagnes at 520 in Epernay. Was wondering if you all had recommendations for specific bottles to procure there.

I think it largely depends on what kinds of Champagne you prefer. The selection is quite great in size with some of the most singular producers out there. Where I to go there myself I would probably find various bottlings from Bereche, Lahaye and Marguet tempting but there are also newer interesting names there like Nowack and Bouvet. I would also recommend to have a chat with the shopkeeper as he is extremely knowledgeable and up-to-date when it comes to this region’s wines.
Also check out Salvatori. A smaller shop, but prices can be a little lower also.
