Saudi Arabia?

#1 Post by LoriMcLaughlin » March 13th, 2019, 9:08 am

Likely heading to Riyadh soon. I’ve traveled all over the Middle East but never to Saudi Arabia. Any travel tips?

Only ever been airport, hotel, client meeting, hotel, airport followed by a huge sigh of relief when the fasten seat belts sign goes off and they start offering you drinks. Absolutely nothing positive to recommend about the place at all. Oh and stay safe...

Usually on emirates from dubai but sometimes private with client and sometimes drove to bahrain and flew out BA. All reports I’ve heard re Saudia/SAA are avoid at all costs.

No need to pack heavily. Something black, opaque, and full-body covering should suffice for all business and personal non-socializing occasions. Peek-a-boo headwear has been the latest rage, literally.
Avoid embassy staff carrying bone saws, hydrochloric acid, and rolling suitcases.

Saudi Arabia is happy to travel to you. Its emissaries will do all the booking, and especially the packing.
